Courses at LMU Munich, Germany (since 2017)
General Botany for veterinarians (winter, 4 SWS): Lecture covering various aspects of botany, including systematics and evolution of algae and plants, and plant biology including plant defenses and secondary metabolites.
Species diversity of lichens (practical course, winter and summer, 3 SWS)
Plant species diversity (practical course and excursions, summer, 3 SWS)
Tree of Life: Plant and fungal morphology (course, summer, 3 SWS; lectures on fungi, winter)
Botany and mycology (practical course 3 SWS and lecture 2 SWS, winter)
Botany-lichen excursion to Iceland (summer 2018)
Botany-lichen excursion to Montenegro (summer 2019)
Seminar: Current Topics in Systematic Botany (1 SWS, summer and winter)
Seminar: The ongoing global mass extinction: Ways out of the biodiversity crisis (3 SWS, summer)
Seminary: Evolution and diversity of fungi (3 SWS, summer and winter since 2020).
Seminar: Biology of the island of Mallorca (3 SWS, winter 2019)

Courses at University of Graz, Austria (2014-2017)
Introduction to Botany: Native Plants of Styria (summer, 3 SWS)
Excursions to collect native plants and laboratory exercises highlighting the morphological characters of important plant families, general plant morphology, and teaching how to do plant identifications. The course focuses on higher plants found in Styria and provides students with basic biodiversity knowledge in higher plants. As a part of the course, students deliver a herbarium of 100 species and take an oral exam where they have to know over 200 species.
Major Terrestrial Ecosystems (summer, 2 SWS)
Lecture on ecosystems and vegetation of the world.
Biodiversity of Plants and Fungi (winter, 5 SWS)
Lecture and laboratories on fungal taxonomy and basic morphology from microscopic preparations, from which drawings are made. The laboratory part of the course is run twice each week to accommodate two groups of students. The following fungal groups were treated: Oomycota, Myxogastria, Mucoromycotina, Basidiomycota, Ascomycota (including lichen-forming fungi).
Course at University of Tromsø, Norway (2001)
General Ecology
Lecture dealing with autecology, ecological genetics, abiotic environment, ecological niches, trophic levels, energy transfer in ecosystems, nutrient cycling, community ecology, succession, and ecosystems of the world.
Field excursions
2017: Organization of Bryolich excursion to the Westfjords, Iceland
2014: Organization of British Lichen Society field trip to southwestern Iceland
